ScatterKings is a Malta-headquartered slot developer founded in June 2023. As of September 2026, the studio has released 32 online slots and typically adds one or two new titles per month.
The current portfolio follows a relatively consistent structural approach: 28 of the 32 games use a 5×3 grid and more than half have 10 paylines. Hold & Win and coin-collection mechanics appear frequently, while bonus buys and optional higher-stake bonus bets are also common across the games we tested.
ScatterKings currently uses one fixed base-game RTP for each title rather than allowing casinos to choose between several configurations. The percentage is displayed within the games, but the RTP itself varies considerably across the current catalogue, ranging from 93.01% to 96.00%.
The studio operates its own Remote Gaming Server and distributes its games both directly to casinos and through aggregation platforms. Its games are currently live in regulated markets including Austria and Denmark, while international distribution also extends to operators such as Stake and BetPawa.
Overall, ScatterKings has a smaller and more structurally consistent catalogue than many established slot studios, but the underlying mathematical profiles are less uniform. Maximum wins range from 2,084x to 29,650x and recorded hit frequencies vary substantially, meaning games with similar reel layouts can still produce noticeably different playing experiences.

Game Portfolio & Design Approach
ScatterKings is currently a slot-only developer with 32 released games as of September 2026. The catalogue is still relatively small compared with more established studios, but it has maintained a steady output of approximately one or two new titles per month.
Its games follow a more consistent structural approach than many providers we have reviewed. Rather than regularly switching between developing games that uses paylines, cluster pay, win ways, win anywhere formats, and unusually shaped grids, ScatterKings builds most of its current releases around fixed paylines and familiar reel layouts. The greater variation comes from bonus mechanics and the mathematical profile of each game.
A Strong Focus on 5×3 Payline Slots
Twenty-eight of the 32 current ScatterKings games use a 5×3 layout, making this by far the studio’s dominant format. The remaining releases use 3×3, 3×4, or 4×3 grids.
Every game in the catalogue we reviewed uses fixed paylines. Ten paylines are the most common arrangement, appearing in 18 of the 32 titles, while other releases use five, eight, 25, 40, or 50 lines.
This makes ScatterKings considerably more structurally consistent than studios that routinely alternate between different win formats and reel structures. However, similar layouts do not necessarily produce similar gameplay because the bonus mechanics, volatility, hit frequency, RTP, and maximum win can differ substantially between titles.
Recurring Game Families and Variations
ScatterKings frequently develops new versions of existing concepts rather than treating every release as a completely separate format. The current catalogue includes related titles such as Coins Forged in Fire and its sequels, Book Bonanza and Book Bonanza Gold, as well as several variations of 10 Sliding Wilds, 10 Shining 7s, and 10 Locking Crowns.
The Gold Lock and Gold Luck collections provide another example, with several games sharing a broader series identity while using different themes, paylines, volatility ratings, or bonus mechanics. Deluxe, Extreme, Gold, and “& Pots” versions are also used to expand some existing game concepts.
This approach gives returning players some familiar structures while still allowing the studio to alter the features and mathematical profile between releases. A sequel or variant should therefore not be assumed to play identically to the original title.
Feature Variety Within Familiar Layouts
Much of the variation between ScatterKings slots comes from what happens within these otherwise familiar reel structures. Hold & Win, coin, and coin-collection mechanics appear particularly frequently, while bonus buy features and higher-stake bonus bets are also common in the games we tested.
Other releases introduce sticky, expanding, or walking wilds, win multipliers, mystery symbols, progressive bonus upgrades, or features that unlock additional rows and stronger rewards as a bonus develops.
The result is a portfolio where the base layouts are relatively uniform but the bonus structures are less so. This differs from providers that create variety primarily by changing the reel system or method used to form winning combinations.
Steady Release Activity
ScatterKings does not release games at the volume of the industry’s largest studios, but its current schedule is consistent for a provider founded in 2023. New titles generally arrive once or twice per month, allowing the catalogue to expand steadily without relying on a very high release frequency.
In-House RGS & Game Distribution
ScatterKings operates its own Remote Gaming Server (RGS), built by the studio itself. This is the underlying system that runs its games, communicates with casino platforms, and records game rounds and transactions.
According to ScatterKings, the system operates across multiple physical data centres and cloud services in different locations. This is intended to keep the games responsive and available when serving players and casino partners in different countries.
Running its own RGS also allows ScatterKings to integrate directly with casino operators rather than depending entirely on another game platform to host and distribute its content.
Direct Casino and Aggregator Integrations
ScatterKings uses a mixed distribution model involving direct casino integrations and game aggregators. Some casinos connect directly with the studio, while others receive its games through platforms that distribute content from multiple game providers.
A studio representative told us that ScatterKings currently works with REEVO, Hub88, ST8, Silverspin, Intelligent Gaming, Relax Gaming, and EveryMatrix as aggregation and distribution partners.
ScatterKings also works directly with selected operators. Its games are available through partnerships with brands such as Stake and BetPawa, while some operator relationships involve content created specifically for a particular market or casino.
Slot Mechanics & Features
ScatterKings uses a relatively familiar set of reel layouts, but there is considerably more variation in the bonus mechanics layered onto them. Hold & Win-style coin features appear particularly often, while bonus buys and higher-stake bonus bets are also common in the games we tested.
The examples below are based on features identified during our game testing and in the studio’s current catalogue. They are representative rather than a complete list of every mechanic used across all its releases.
Hold & Win and Coin Collection Features
Coin-based bonus rounds are one of the most recurring themes in the current ScatterKings portfolio. These commonly involve special coin or prize symbols being collected or locked in place while the feature continues, with additional qualifying symbols creating further opportunities to increase the final reward.
The exact implementation differs between games. Coins Forged in Thunder, for example, combines a Hold & Win feature with a collector symbol, while titles in the Gold Luck series also use coin-collection bonuses. The mechanic is therefore better viewed as a recurring design preference than one identical bonus copied across the catalogue.
Bonus Buys and Bonus Bets
Bonus buys are available in many ScatterKings slots and allow players to pay a larger amount to enter a bonus feature directly. Some games provide several purchase levels, with the more expensive options giving access to different or stronger versions of the feature.
Bonus bets take a different approach. Instead of immediately purchasing the bonus, the player increases the stake on ordinary spins in exchange for a higher chance of triggering a feature. In some titles, several settings are available, such as doubling or quadrupling the normal stake for a correspondingly higher advertised trigger chance.
These options can also have slightly different RTPs from standard gameplay, so players should check the information shown for the selected mode rather than assuming every bet option uses exactly the same percentage.
Wilds and Symbol Modifications
ScatterKings uses several wild variations across its games. Examples we identified include sticky wilds that remain in position for several rounds, expanding wilds that cover entire reels, walking wilds that move across the reels between spins, and wilds carrying win multipliers.
Coins of Cleo 2 provides one of the more elaborate examples: its sticky wilds can carry multipliers, and the multipliers are combined when several wilds contribute to the same win. Other games use special symbols that change ordinary symbols or create additional jackpot opportunities.
Progressive Bonus Upgrades
Several releases allow a bonus to become stronger as certain symbols or milestones are collected. Rather than beginning with every enhancement already active, players can progressively unlock additional rows, more free spins, higher multipliers, or stronger prizes as the feature develops.
In Big Bob’s Gold and Book Bonanza, for example, collecting special symbols can unlock further bonus benefits. Coins of Cleo 2 uses a related approach in which additional rows and stronger multipliers can become available during the feature.
Mystery Symbols and Position Upgrades
Some games introduce less frequently used mechanics. Book Bonanza Gold includes stacked mystery symbols that reveal as a randomly selected symbol, while Wolf Vs Piggies can upgrade individual reel positions during its bonus, with higher upgrade levels leading to stronger prizes.
These mechanics are not as widespread as the studio’s coin and Hold & Win features, but they show that ScatterKings does vary how bonuses develop even when the underlying 5×3 payline format remains familiar.
RTP, Hit Frequency, Volatility & Maximum Wins
ScatterKings uses fairly consistent reel structures, but its games are much less uniform mathematically. RTP, hit frequency, volatility, and maximum-win potential can differ substantially between titles that otherwise share the same 5×3 layout and fixed-payline format.
Fixed RTPs Currently Range From 93.01% to 96.00%
All currently released ScatterKings games use one fixed return to player configuration for the base game rather than allowing casino sites to choose between several settings. In our review, we found the RTP range to be 93.01% to 96.00%, with a median of approximately 94.04%.
The portfolio therefore leans towards lower RTPs compared with studios that still place most releases around a 96% default setting. Several of the current games sit below 94%, while only one reaches 96%.
The fixed model does provide consistency between casinos: the same base game should not have a lower RTP simply because it is offered by a different operator. We also found the percentage displayed within the games, allowing players to check it before playing.
Optional gameplay modes can change the RTP slightly. Bonus buys or bonus bets may use a different RTP from ordinary spins, so the percentage attached to a feature should be checked separately where one is available.
ScatterKings told us that it is developing versions with multiple operator-selectable RTP settings in response to casino and regulatory demand. These are not used by the current live catalogue, so the analysis on this page relates to the existing fixed-RTP games.
Hit Frequency Varies Widely
Within the current portfolio, reported hit frequencies range from approximately 11.04% to 49.75%. This is a substantial spread for a catalogue where most games use very similar reel layouts.
At the lower end, a game may record a qualifying payout only around once in every nine spins on average. At the opposite extreme, some titles can register some form of win on close to half of all rounds.
A higher hit frequency does not necessarily make a game more profitable or give it a higher RTP. Frequent payouts may include amounts below the original stake, while a greater share of the overall return can still be reserved for less common bonus results or larger wins.
Lower Volatility Ratings Are Common, but Not Universal
ScatterKings uses a five-point volatility scale covering 1/5 through 5/5. The most common classification in the current portfolio is 2/5, used by 13 games, while 4/5 is the second most common with nine titles.
This creates an interesting split: a substantial part of the catalogue is positioned towards the lower end of ScatterKings’ own volatility scale, but there is also a sizeable group of considerably higher-volatility games.
As with other providers, these ratings are most useful for comparing ScatterKings games with one another. There is no universal volatility scale requiring two studios to classify identical mathematical models in the same way, so a 2/5 ScatterKings slot should not automatically be assumed to match a “Low” or “Medium” game from another provider.
Learn More About Volatility in Casino GamesMaximum Wins Mostly Sit Below the Most Extreme Modern Slots
Maximum wins range from 2,084x to 29,650x the stake among the games for which figures were available, with a median of 6,000x.
A 6,000x midpoint gives ScatterKings meaningful upside without placing most of its catalogue in the extreme end of the modern high-volatility market. Maximum wins above 10,000x are common at many contemporary studios, while selected providers advertise ceilings of 50,000x, 100,000x, or considerably more.
ScatterKings nevertheless has several higher-potential releases, with the strongest current games approaching 30,000x. The spread between approximately 2,000x and 30,000x also reinforces that games sharing the studio’s common 5×3 format can have very different payout profiles.
Featured ScatterKings Games
The six games below were selected to provide a representative look at the current ScatterKings portfolio rather than to rank its most popular releases. We prioritised titles that stand out through their bonus mechanics, feature combinations, visual presentation, or overall playing style.
Together, they illustrate how ScatterKings creates variety within its largely consistent 5×3 payline format, with differences coming primarily from Hold & Win mechanics, bonus progression, wild features, and other game-specific enhancements.

Promotional Tools for Online Casinos
ScatterKings currently supports operator-issued free rounds through its Remote Gaming Server. This allows casinos to award promotional free spins on compatible ScatterKings games as part of their own bonus campaigns.
The casino controls the promotion rather than ScatterKings running a shared campaign across its network. This means details such as eligibility, the number of free rounds, participating games, and any bonus conditions can differ between operators.
ScatterKings does not currently operate network-wide tournaments or offer confirmed integrations for features such as missions, achievements, or shared jackpots. A studio representative told us that additional promotional tools are in development, including technology intended to support broader network-level promotions in the future.
Licensing, Regulated Markets & Game Testing
ScatterKings is currently active in regulated gambling markets, but its licensing position differs between countries. In some cases the studio holds its own supplier licence, while other launches take place through locally licensed operators or distribution partners.
Danish Game Supplier Licence
ScatterKings holds a game supplier licence from the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden) and entered Denmark’s regulated online casino market in 2026.
Denmark requires companies supplying online casino games to licensed operators to hold a supplier licence. ScatterKings launched in the market through RoyalCasino, where its slots are available to Danish players.
Austria and Other Regulated-Market Expansion
ScatterKings is also live in Austria through win2day, the online gambling brand operated within Austria’s regulated monopoly system. This was the studio’s first confirmed regulated-market launch before its subsequent entry into Denmark.
The studio told us that it is continuing to expand its certification coverage as it targets additional regulated markets. Its current confirmed regulated-market presence is therefore more limited than that of long-established international providers, but it has been expanding since its initial launches in Austria and Denmark.
Malta Gaming Authority Application
ScatterKings does not currently have a confirmed Malta Gaming Authority supplier licence. A studio representative told us in September 2026 that its MGA application was in the final stages of approval.
Planned South African Launch
ScatterKings also plans to enter South Africa during the fourth quarter of 2026 through a partnership with Intelligent Gaming. According to the studio, its games will be supplied under Intelligent Gaming’s manufacturer’s licence.
Independent Game and RNG Testing
A ScatterKings representative told us that the studio works with RiskCherry, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), and Quinel for independent testing and certification.
The work carried out by these laboratories can include mathematical analysis, RNG testing, game-fairness checks, regulatory assessments, and certification required before games are released in particular regulated markets.
RNG testing checks whether game outcomes are generated randomly in accordance with the relevant technical standards, while individual game assessments can also examine details such as the mathematics, advertised RTP, rules, and operation of game features.
Casinos That Offer ScatterKings Games
ScatterKings currently has a more limited casino presence than many of the larger software providers we have reviewed. Although the studio works with several aggregation platforms and direct operator partners, its games are not yet widely available across offshore casinos.
We checked multiple offshore casinos with large game libraries and did not find ScatterKings titles at any of them. This differs from providers whose games are routinely available across dozens of internationally accessible casinos.
Current availability appears to be more concentrated around specific partnerships and regulated-market launches. Confirmed operators include Stake, BetPawa, RoyalCasino in Denmark, and win2day in Austria.
This does not necessarily mean ScatterKings will remain difficult to find. The studio has agreements with several aggregation and distribution platforms, so its casino coverage could expand as more integrations go live and additional markets are added.
For now, however, players should expect a more limited choice of casinos offering ScatterKings games than they would with longer-established international studios.
How We Researched ScatterKings
Information Supplied by ScatterKings
A ScatterKings representative answered detailed questions about the studio, including its company background, licensing, regulated-market presence, testing laboratories, RTP model, Remote Gaming Server, distribution partnerships, promotional tools, and future expansion plans.
Game-by-Game Research and Testing
We reviewed ScatterKings’ complete released portfolio as listed one the studio’s website in September 2026, recording information including RTP, maximum win, hit frequency, volatility, reel layout, and paylines where available.
We also play-tested its titles. This allowed us to check how information such as RTP is presented to players and to examine features and mechanics including bonus buys, bonus bets, Hold & Win features, coin collection, wild variations, and progressive bonus upgrades.
Our feature notes are intended as representative examples rather than a complete coverage.
Licensing, Testing and Market Checks
We compared information supplied by ScatterKings with its public materials and available information from regulators, operators, testing organisations, and industry announcements where relevant. This was particularly important when distinguishing its active Danish supplier licence from its pending Malta Gaming Authority application and planned South African launch.
Casino Availability Checks
We also checked multiple offshore casinos with large game libraries to assess how easy ScatterKings titles are to find outside its confirmed operator partnerships. We did not find the provider at the offshore casinos checked, which is why we currently describe its wider casino availability as limited.
Casino libraries and distribution agreements can change, so this finding reflects availability when the page was researched in September 2026 rather than a permanent assessment of the studio’s reach.
